A budget should be simple enough that anybody can make work on. All you need is to list down all money sources and money outflows to give an idea how much is being earned and how much is spent. This is to give an overview of cash flows – both in and out. A balanced budget is ideal but a budget surplus is even better. It gives you the extra cash to fund both savings and investment plans and let compounding work in your behalf. Everyone should have a budget and it is not as dreadful as anyone might think it is.
